This thesis was awarded Best in Show for the Fashion Insitute of Technology’s Graphic Design Graduating Student Exhibition  /  Despite this country’s diversity, Asian Americans struggle with understanding who they are while trying to fulfill the expectations of those around them. Although similar in cultural background, foreign and native born share different experiences with cultural identity, which can be seen in work from different Asian American artists. Through photography, installation, and writing,  this thesis analyzes their methods of communication as a way to express their past, present, and what is to come for the future of an ever-growing community.
